Community Prank Call

This week, our community call fell on one of our favorite holidays, so we decided to do something a little bit different. We flipped the script and let our bitSTARS host the show! Jude, Daniel, Gayle, Joey, Anmol, Leo & Pete were nerdy, geeky, dorky and silly, and it was one of the highlights of our year!

Global Makeathon

From Bekasi, Indonesia to Brooklyn, NY, this weekend’s global Munch & Make was jam packed with the #InventAnything spirit.

In Pune, India, Makers Park played with their food to create these spinning helixes made from potatoes:

New Synth Modules

After months of anticipation we released the new synth modules! The MIDI, CV & USB I/O bits are made to expand the possibilities of the synth kit by allowing you to connect your bits with digital and analog instruments.

To celebrate the release of these bits we are hosting an Instagram contest. We’re asking you to share a pic of your audio workstation, whether it be a eurorack in your studio, a dusty KORG keyboard in your garage or an Ableton controler in your bedroom. Be sure to include @littleBits & #MakeMusic in your caption. We’ll be regramming our fave pics all week and next Tuesday (4/7) we’ll send a Synth Pro Pack to one lucky Instagrammer! So get to ‘grammin’!

KORG’s LFO module in the bitLab

Did you know that KORG developed an Low Frequency Oscilator for the original synth kit? The bit never made it to the box, but after the overwhelming response for the new modules KORG decided to submit it to the bitLab! Learn more about how the LFO can benefit your synth kit, share the bitLab link on social and don’t forget to VOTE!
