Self Opening BitGift

by radconnyc

Published on October 4, 2016

We used a servo arm as the "hand" to open the gift. The gift is the littleBits Starter Kit v0.3. We decorated it with an RGB led, built a remote control, and added a motorized sign that said," Happy Birthday, littleBits!!" Made by an 8 year old girl and a 10 year old boy.

Duration: 40 minutes

How To Make It

STEP 1 : Make the Circuit

We put the circuit on the mounting board and mounted the board onto the littleBits box.

STEP 2 : Mounting the Servo

We put tape on the servo and stuck it to the box.

STEP 3 : Adding the Wrapping Paper

We wrapped the box and Bits in tissue paper, with one side covering the servo arm.
