Step right up & test your LOVE! Invent your own carnival-style Love-O-Meter to see if you have what it takes to be a big hunk of love. Happy Valentines Day!

Duration: 30 Mins

How To Make It

STEP 1 : Add code to arduino Bit

The Arduino reads the analog voltage from the pressure sensor, and lights up the RGB LEDs depending on how high the voltage is.

STEP 2 : Assemble circuit

Attach three RBG LEDs to the output ends of the arduino. Adjust the color of the LEDs using a littleBits screwdriver. I set it to blue for Naive, pink for Puppy Love & red for Infatuated.

STEP 3 : Add input

I used a pressure sensor as the input for this project, but you can try using another Bit. Maybe a temperature sensor to measure how hot you are :) Connect a wire to the input end of the arduino to connect the pressure sensor. Use another wire to connect the power Bit.

STEP 4 : Build housing for the circuit

I found this cardboard box in the mailroom of our office. It’s a pretty simple design, but it reminded me of an arcade machine. I added a front facade, punched holes to reveal the LEDs.

STEP 5 : Add circuit to housing

I used tape to attach the arduino & RGB LEDs to the back of the machine. I then cut a slit and fed the pressure sensor through the facade.

STEP 6 : Decorate housing

I used white & red spray paint & printed out the lettering & emoji.

STEP 7 : Test your love!

How much ~feels~ do you have? It's pretty easy to get infatuated. But hey, that's love!
