AIGA Workshop: A walking paint robot.

Bits used: dc motor , power , sound trigger, wire

Difficulty: Intermediate

  1. 1

Build the circuit and connect the Bits in the following order: Power+Wire+Sound Trigger+DC Motor.

  2. 2

Build the C. Robot body out of wood and attach the circuit with the rubber band.

  3. 3

Attach a plastic disk to the DC Motor, and stick the wooden dowels into the disk.

  4. 4

Stick styrofoam balls to the ends of the wooden dowels. Make sure the styrofoam balls are touching the paint surface or canvas to ensure they make a mark. You can add a piece of wood to elevate the circuit body if necessary (Mika used a clothes pin).

  5. 5

Dip the styrofoam balls in your favorite paint colors and watch your C. Robot run in paint circles!
