Kosovo Chapter in Purple

Pictured above: Chapter Leader, Edona Bejtullahu (center), with two mentors from the BONEVET Makerspace in Gjakova, Kosovo.  “BONEVET is a fully equipped and professionally maintained space dedicated for members in order to inflict the spirit of making by re-energizing education with the creativity, innovation, curiosity, motivation, technical know-how, and playfulness that characterize our maker community.”

Messy Shoe Solution, by Three J’s and S, is an automatic cloudBit circuit designed to #HackYourHabits for the better!  “No more tripping over that pile of shoes that sits in your hallway.  A delightful invention that will encourage your children to put away their shoes.  The reward system is remotely controlled by the parent who may be away at work.”

Messy Shoe Solution

After the kids have put shoes in the cupboard, Mom or Dad gets an SMS message: “Congratulations!  Your children have put away their shoes 31 times.  Please press the purple button.  A little surprise might be in order…”  YUM!  Let’s watch a fun demonstration!

We interviewed Vedant Desai to learn more about how he goes about making his spectacular Makey-Makey projects, including a penny controlled car and interactive pin golf.  Says Vedant,  “I always imagined to control my lego cars via a remote.  However I did not have the right tools. With littleBits, my imagination can be real now.”  Find more Meet the Inventors Articles!

More from Kosovo

Check out some fantastic inventions uploaded by our Kosovo Chapter, Bonevet!

Wrecking Ball “This prototype is created to collapse buildings. The ball moves by Servo Motor that is controlled by Slide Dimmer. Also, we used Wireless transmitter and receiver to command the wrecking ball from a distance.” 🙂

Cooling Robot “Robot made out of construction paper that walks by DC Motor and cools us by the FAN bit during hot days. Its eyes lighten by RGB led and everything is controlled by Slide Dimmer that is located on its mouth.” 🙂
