Hack Your Habits Design Challenge

Join TeKids Lab for this two-hour design challenge for kids 8-15.

The Challenge:
One of the coolest ways that people are using tech is to transform their bad behaviors or keep up their good habits. In this challenge, we want you to choose ONE habit you do daily (or almost daily) and invent a way to track or change that habit.

This design challenge promotes hands-on learning, invention, collaboration, design thinking, technology literacy, and STEAM principles.

Our event is limited to 20 participants aged 8-15, and takes place at Platte Street Galvanize on Sunday April 24, from 10am-12pm.

*littleBits aren't cheap. In order for other kids to participate in these design challenges, and to keep our events going, we need our littleBits returned at the end of the event.

Bring yourself, bring a friend, and bring a "little bit" of your imagination.

Maker Days – STEM World Of Dreams (Girls only event)

In this girls only STEM event, students will get to build anything they like from classrooms to townhouses, ferris wheels and anything they like – the possibilities are endless. Better yet, make these creations come to life!

Students will learn how to connect the lights, motors, buzzers and sensors and make their dream rooms come alive. Their creations become highly interactive and engaging especially when adding the very popular littleBits electronics! Students will not only get to play but learn about how things work in that process. This is a great course which aims to spark a girl's interests in STEM and electronics.

It really should be this fun. Learning through a wonderland of dreams. What can you create today?

Advanced modules are available for students who have attended this event before. Please inform the academy if your child is doing an advanced module.
