Take the Challenge

After last year’s massive BitOlympic success, we’re calling all inventors, tinkers, and makers all over the globe to help celebrate the 2016 Olympics Games. Bit style. Your challenge is to create an Olympic-inspired invention, then film it in action and share it with the global community. What city will bring the BitOlympic Gold Medal home?!

Need some help getting started?

Use the Invention Cycle to get going:

Invention Cycle
CREATE: Brainstorm ideas for your Olympic-inspired invention.
Sketch out ideas, pick your favorite, and create a prototype of your contraption. Don’t worry about getting everything right on the first try. The important thing is to just get started and experiment. Here are a few directions to get you started:
PLAY: Now it's time to test your invention in action.
Is it fun to play or use? Does it work the way you thought it would? Grab a friend or family member to try it and see what they think.

REMIX: Did playing with your invention go the way you expected?
Now’s your chance to experiment with fixes and improvements. How can you make it more fun, reliable, exciting, easy to use, etc?

SHARE: Make a video that shows your invention in action.
Explain what it does and how it works. To submit to the challenge, upload your invention using the Invention Editor and click on BitOlympics 2016.
